Walking through campus Demaray is hard to miss because of the beautiful art along the sides of the clock tower. The designs on the tower represent the Trinity. It illustrates a rich theological design along all sides. One side shows more of a biological approach and symbols that give off energy and physical science. At the top of one of the panels, it signifies the Holy Spirit. The side we see in this photo, the south panel, shows more about human development and how Christ is represented in our lives. It symbolizes the human journey through history and life. Towards the top represents Christ, and below shows artifacts including, wheels, human skeleton and a bow and arrow.
Seattle Pacific University has become one of the nation’s top Christian universities so this clock tower might seem like any other ordinary clock but there is meaning behind each side. Seattle Pacific takes pride in leadership, human development, culture, and learning, taking a step inside Demaray Hall Clock Tower you will find many individuals willing to help and engage with you.
